When God invites you and the invitation requires sacrifice, how will you respond?

 God asks us to be faithful with where we are before He leads us to where He can use us. By being good stewards in what we have now we are honoring God and waiting for His timing and His plan. God's work will always be His idea, will always begin with His initiative, and if God has initiated a work He will see it through.

Jesus is so good. He loves us so much and asks for so very little. This Sunday we looked at Luke 10:38 with the story of Mary and Martha and studied the relationship that Jesus invites us into through the example that they leave us. We are called to serve God, it is good to do so, but we need to be careful that we aren't letting our serving become an idol. We need to intentional about taking the time to sit at Jesus' feet and worship Him through soaking in His divine presence. 

This Sunday at New King we learned about God Doing Work - how rebels come into the presence of a Holy King.

We are starting a brand new 8 week series called Experiencing God! We are going to learn how to have an interactive, growing relationship with God. You can know God’s will for your life, and we want to show you how that’s possible.

This week we finished up our Slowing Down series with Pastor Ben teaching us what the Sabbath is and how we can partake of the rest God offers us each week. We’ll take a look at our tendency to over-do it, and zero in on an ancient spiritual practice instituted by God to guard us from burning out.
