This is the first sermon from our latest series, Jonah: Kingdom Message. The Kingdom Message is revealed in Mark 8:35, Jesus said, "Whoever wants to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel will find it."

There are times in our lives when we are in “Over Our Heads.” It may be a family circumstance, or something at school, or work when we feel we can’t handle what is going on.

This Sunday we are going to learn that we can handle situations when we are over our heads; we can handle them because of God’s Presence and Power.

God’s Harvest is on the horizon. God has promised throughout the centuries that He would have a Harvest of people who love Him and obey Him. In reality, that Harvest has already begun.

So many of us have unfulfilled dreams for our lives because circumstances in life hold us back. At the same time, God asks; "What is holding you back from wanting more of Me?" Many times we want the things of the world rather than God.

Question: "What is holding us back from wanting more of God?"

Being desperate is not a fun thing. However, there are times in life in which we become desperate.

This Sunday we will learn that desperation can be a good thing. We will see desperation is ultimately about life. God is the author and provider of life. God is the only One who can satisfy desperation.

When our health is compromised we expect the Dr. to give us the right diagnosis. We want the right outcome so that we are healthy once again.

The Spiritual world is far more powerful than the natural world. We need "The Great Physician" Jesus to give us the right diagnosis so that outcome is beneficial; spiritual health.
