There comes a time when things need to be handed down. This goes with power and responsibilities as well. We explore the story of Elijah the prophet being told it is his time to pass on. He is going to take a ride on a chariot of fire, and he is to pass the mantle of the prophet of Israel on to Elisha. What a fascinating story this is.
In like manner, Jesus has also ascended up to the Father and is seated at the right hand of God. He has passed his mantle of discipleship down to us as well. We are the ambassadors for Christ in this world. What a great privilege and honor it is that Christ has left us with. We must go into all the world, teach the gospel to every creature, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them after that to observe all things whatsoever Jesus has given us to teach as we follow in His steps.

Have you ever asked that question? Abraham did. At the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham asked God, "will you destroy the righteous with the wicked". Will not the God of Righteousness do what is right?
The last piece of our series "is this the end times", deals with this question. Jesus said as it was in the days of Noah, and in the days of Lot, so will it be with the coming of the Son of Man. We look at the great flood, and Sodom and Gomorrah and ask, will God destroy us during the tribulation period, or are we spared like Noah and Lot. Come along and find out!

There are many voices and speculations in the world today. Is this the end of time. are we in the last days. Will the saved go through the great tribulation that is to come, or will we be removed from it. 
How about letting the Word of God give us the absolute truth to this. May His Word comfort you in this. The book of Revelation starts out saying: This is the revealing of the things that God wanted His Son Jesus, to share with those who are His servants.
This book is written to give us peace and comfort, and to reveal to us those things which are surely going to come.
God gives us a plain roadmap of the end, if we let the Bible explain itself. So, let's not listen to all those opinions out there. Let us take up our Bible and follow along as God Himself reveals the truth to His body, His Church. I will give you a hint. The epistle to the Thessalonians says: We are not appointed unto wrath. And this lesson proves it from the scriptures. May you be blessed comforted by this study.

Did you know that the Bible is full of patterns? God loves to teach us in repetition through patterns. Like the marriage ceremony and how that relates to the Church being the Bride of Christ! The pattern of the sacrificial system in the old testament as a shadow and pattern for Jesus, the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.
