Love Does Not Delight In Evil

Love is on the side of God and His love for everyone. Therefore, it willnever take part in the celebration of anyones downfall.Even though they may be a mortal enemy as in the case of David andKing Saul, there is no delight in their demise.To be in a position that would allow for rejoicing in evil is to be in directopposition to God, the One who sent His son to provide rescue fromfalling.Rather than rejoicing in the downfall of any, love is kept in a position toaffect salvation and restoration on the part of the Father.To rejoice in any evil is to be dispositioned from an ability to affect theFathers heart.

Application:Prayer Help me to be kept from a heart that would be in opposition toYours with regard to any evil that is taking place in someones life. Showme how to remain ready to display Your love towards them in the middle oftheir difficulty so that there may be glory brought to You in theirrestoration.Intentional action: Apply this truth to the next opportunity that comes todelight in evil by purposefully turning away from the delight and towards amoment of prayer. If possible, reach out to them with provision andencouragement.
