As Christians, we are imbued with Christ’s joy and Christ’s mission to spread that joy throughout the world. Our testimonies bring joy. Our presence in the world brings joy. Our unity brings joy. So we must work towards being one with the Father and one with each other then we bring others into our unity through speaking God’s words over their lives.

Pentecost Sunday brought a shift in the lives and culture of Christ's followers in Israel which went on to change the world. Today, we need another shift in our lives and our culture to see a transformation towards Christ and Christ's values. How does that transformation come about? Through you.

Kim Maas joined us for one night to share a prophetic message on Gideon and revival. We are led to repent for the cultural influences in our American Christianity and to refocus ourselves on Christ and Christ alone to see him move throughout our nations.

Pastor Alan continued this teaching on the Great Commission focusing on the power and authority we have as children of God to proclaim the forgiveness of sins to a world that struggles to see God in everyday life.

As the book of Matthew ends, Jesus answers the 'Now what?' that the disciples were thinking at the prospect of Christ leaving. The answer is the Great Commission. We must go out as disciples because we are the answer to the 'Now what?' Christ gave us the authority and the command to go out and preach the gospel to all. Be Jesus wherever you are.

"The cost of chasing your promise is not going to be greater than your reward." Pastor Colleen pushed us this weekend to step out into our dreams and promises that God has given us, to not be afraid of failing or how large those dreams are, but to rest in Christ that he will see us through it all like he did with Joseph. Not everything in Joseph's life was easy (slavery, attempts on his life, false accusations, imprisonment), but Joseph focused on his God-given dream knowing that God would see him through it all. We all know the end of that story and how God vaulted Joseph into the unimaginable through simple obedience. What dreams are you chasing today?

The ‘petrichor’ is the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil. This smell can be detected miles away from the storm, letting us know rain is coming. There’s a storm blowing in our culture today founded in division, but the rain will come, we can sow seeds, and Christ will raise new life.

We serve a king named Jesus who was raised from the dead in bodily form. We as Christians often talk about leaving this body and earth for heaven, but the beauty of resurrection is that it’s ‘other worldly’ and ’this worldly’ at the same time. The testimony of scripture is a resurrection that portends new creation: a new creation that began on resurrection day.
