Revelation 2-3

In Week 2 of our Revelation series, Pastor Thomas challenges us to evaluate our faithfulness by our fruit? Are we as the church functioning as God made us to? Or do we look a little too much like Babylon?

Why would we do this to ourselves? Why would we purposely choose to study a book that is so divisive and polarizing as the book of Revelation? Isn't the Church already divided enough? Won't this just exacerbate the problem?

We're diving into this new series because this book is a gift from the Living Christ. It's a gift for the Church to help us become more like Him--especially when the world around us looks a whole lot like Babylon.

Ephesians 2:11-3:21

Jesus' vision for His Bride, the Church, is radically different from what so many have experienced. Our hope is that New Life would be a representation of the Church as Jesus would have her--a place that breaks down barriers, welcomes the outsider and makes them feel like insiders by showing them the love of Christ.

Unless we diagnose the problem of our human condition rightly, we will only ever treat the symptoms of sin in this world. Pastor Thomas helps us get a better understanding of what sin is and what it does to our relationship with God.
