God is the ultimate gift giver. He gave us the gift of new life. Let's take advantage of all that we have through Jesus Christ who died on the cross.

God has set purpose before us, so let us not grow weary as Paul tells us in Galatians 6:9. But how do you battle weariness?

What do you do when you are disappointed in Jesus?

How do we continue to hope even when what we had hoped for is not happening?

In the Parable of the Lost son it is interesting that the parable starts with the sentence "there was a man with 2 sons". We focus on the son who lived a life of rebellion, but Jesus was making a point that there are two ways to be separated from a father; through rebellion or through religiousness.

God doesn't see people the way we see people. He sees them as either Lost or Found.

Peter reminds us that Jesus is returning - but at a time when we will not expect Him. Because of this we can get lulled into a sense of living our lives as though we have a tomorrow. He admonishes us to live holy and godly lives so we can be found spotless and at peace with Him.

In 2 Peter 2, Peter warns us of false teachers who are the enemies counterfeits to God's truth. While God loves speaking identity and destiny into us; He also wants to warn us of what can be deceptive to us.

As we go through 2 Peter 1:12-21 we see Peter telling us to remember the good news of Jesus Christ. We can forget things, we can get distracted, and sometimes the good news gets drowned out. But let us always remember Jesus is alive!
