The little drummer boy brought a gift to “the newborn king.” There can be so much pressure with gift-giving…is it the right gift? Will they like it? Does it fit the relationship? How much does it cost and can I afford it? There is also pressure to give to charities and help people in need. What guidance does Jesus offer about giving? Have you ever seen one of those toys that moves on its own?  A dog on a leash that walks.  A train set with lights and crossing signals.  A doll that would say hi to you.  These toys seem to be alive, but we know they are on automatic.  Does your life ever feel the same way? At times, likely.
