The kingdom of God has already been inaugurated through the establishment of the church. Satan has been trying to beat back the church. The routes of attack leveraged are sophisticated. Christians in all ages are called to discern how they are called to keep the witness of the church true to Jesus's vision. However, one of the chief dangers is that we shape the church to conform to our desires as opposed to conforming our lives to what Jesus wants the church to be. To build to church requires us to take up the cross, to follow his vision of church and to submit. | Matthew 16:13-24
