Transform Your Life With Steve and Pete

New Mindsets for New Seasons

Times of change and transition can cause anxiety because they bring out our insecurities that question our competence. Viewing this anxiety as an opportunity to learn and grow will help you work through those times in a healthy and productive way.

Transformation Tip: “In times of change, learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists. - Eric Hoffer

You don’t need to be perfect, you need to be teachable.

Tips for times of change and transition:

  • Stay positive
  • You are going to make mistakes - see failure as growth
  • Don’t try to be perfect
  • Be patient - growth doesn’t happen instantly
  • Have grace for yourself - laugh at your mistakes
  • Don’t get hung up on your failures

Action breeds clarity. The fear of failure can be paralyzing, but you can’t grow if you don’t at least try. Taking action allows you to learn through trial and error, and leads to new ways of thinking.

In new and unfamiliar seasons, you have to remind yourself that this might not work! BUT! If you don’t try you’ll regret it.

Make sure you have a vision. What am I going after? Why am I going after it? Then surround yourself with people who believe in you and your vision (realistic voices of wisdom, not just a yes-man).

Transformation Application: What have you been putting off because of the risk involved? What is one action step you can take to move forward? Go do it.
