"The Flow of Grace Through Care"

The phrase "next generation" speaks to the issue of "legacy". Dictionary definition says: " something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor." Hebrews 11:21 will be the anchor text for the message. This can be broadened  beyond "grand-parenting" to the challenge for all of us to think about "What will be my legacy for the cause of Christ when I'm gone?" and "How am I creating a legacy for the glory of Christ in other lives every single day I live for him, no matter what my age."

God has designed sex but the brokenness of our world has messed with that original design. What does God have to say about sex? What does God teach us in the Bible? We will focus on what is in the Bible, including the words of Jesus and the Apostle Paul.

Picture of parenting through how the Apostle Paul related to the Thessalonian Christians. He encouraged, comforted and urged them to live lives worthy of God. This is the high calling of a parent as a follower of Jesus.

God's call to love one another in humility by considering others and looking out for their interests, not just our own. This wisdom, rooted in the life of Christ, provides help for marriages and all relationships.

Cain became angry at his brother and murdered him. This was the first of countless messy family situations in the Bible. God has dealt with messy families since and he has grace for us in the midst of our relational challenges. Families provide a unique set of challenges but they also provide a unique set of opportunities for our growth.

Jesus Christ is the cornerstone and we are living stones built together into a spiritual house. God calls us to offer spiritual sacrifices and declare his praises. We can faithfully do this as we recognize that we are part of God's house, His people.
