A community based social networking company has partnered with an Alberta tech firm to add real-time safety alerts to its network. Edmonton-based crisis detection platform Samdesk will provide data to Nextdoor Canada to deliver neighbourhood-specific updates, like wildfires, street closures, and missing persons. Nextdoor says it operates in more than 300,000 neighbourhoods in 11 countries. Sarah speaks with Christopher Doyle, managing director of Nextdoor Canada.
