This episode was brought to you by an edible. Or two. Julian has appeared at work without his beard (dont worry, Demaris is here, we’re talking about the one on his face) (1:30). He fills us in on his new look, and then we get into some light banter about Mal’s old club habits (9:30). Rihanna is out here starting new fashion trends, and the crew shares how they would participate (18:42). The olympics are coming (32:00), and so are Drake and Yachty with new music (39:10). Mal finds it hard to believe Eminem sold 200k+ his first week (46:50), and we get into a convo about which artists changed the music landscape (51:57). We have voicemails! One guy asks us for some financial advice (1:01:57), and the other needs OnlyFans advice (1:16:59).

Big Tuesday vibes gang! How would you feel about a R&B Vocalist draft, done by the team? Well one will be coming to you via Patreon soon, so sign up here and let us know who you think should be included! While we get you guys' votes on that, Steve Harvey was getting votes from god knows who for a Family Feud category - Who Is The Greatest Rapper Of All Time (10:21)? Of course America disappoints us. We then do our usual weekend recap, and the team finds out that Yomi threw a gathering they knew nothing about (can you blame her? honestly.) (24:42) SPOILER ALERT: ‘The Bear’ | Rory finally starts The Bear and gives us a partial review (31:33), and then we get into a debate of our favorite caucasian actresses of all time (49:01). Lupe Fiasco caused quite the stir on spaces with a conversation about who should be making decisions regarding letting people in The (hip-hop) Culture; with many thinking its just more poorly masked hate for Kendrick Lamar (57:33). Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun were the focus of a documentary focusing on their infamous beef over Swift’s masters, and Rory can understand Scooter’s side (1:18:05). We also give our review on new music (1:26:14), quickly discuss Joe Biden dropping out of the presidential election (1:47:48), a voicemail about 20/20 hindsight (1:55:17), + more!

It's 7 am FRIDAY, it's 95 degrees! Mal gets immediately to pressing Demaris about romantic rules, and he starts working through some more boundaries any woman of his can't cross. On a further well-deserved attack on women, Rory accuses Latto of gaslighting on her latest single, so we get into a lyric breakdown of toxic songs, including some of Rory's (18:11). We address Big Sean's alleged leak and the current state of his career, as well as whether awe believe Kanye is actually responsible for the leak (27:19). Speaking of Kanye, his wife is making the headlines again with her nudity (35:00). Schoolboy Q's Toronto show was cancelled, so the crew puts Mal's feet to the fire (40:00), which progresses into a (fair and peaceful, I promise) disagreement about whether Kendrick and Drake will go to each others cities on tour next year (44:37). Ariana Grande got Brandy and Monica to reunite for the remix to her Boy Is Mine track, and this leads to a debate regarding the three, + Mariah Carey - who is the better vocalist (56:47)? Speaking of nostalgia, Mal tries to tell us we are interpreting 'Love and Basketball' wrong (1:06:30). Trump's ear gauze trend ran through the RNC like Nelly's band-aid (1:12:12), and Amber Rose proves her dedication to the never return to Philly (can't relate, we'll be there next week - tickets available now) . We have voicemails! The first one is from a young man who just wanted to flex his sexual prowess under the guise of needing advice (1:25:44). We let him get his shit off, but became curious about his endeavors and get into a conversation about sex swings that leaves the entire team in tears (1:30:49). The second voicemail is from a dewd from Baltimore who had to chewwse between his current thing and his friend (1:39:16).

Happy Tuesday Gang! Rory found his (Irish) people over the weekend in a small town upstate and shared his experience with us (09:37). Meanwhile, Demaris was "calmly" outside (14:18) and catches us up on her weekend. And then... we get to the sh*ts. Former President Trump had an attempt on his life and the internet is convinced that it was staged. We give our professional assessment of the footage and let you know what REALLY happened... allegedly (21:37). We then get into the official review of Eminems long awaited album 'The Death of Slim Shady' - and do a few lyric breakdowns (53:36). This convo leads into the guys their giving their opinion on other 'GOAT' rappers whowho have an overrated catalog (1:16:27). Speaking of rappers, Mase addresses J. Prince calling him out over Shakir Stevenson comments, and we address some of his interesting points (1:28:16). J Prince would never let Michael Ealy lift his girl off the ground though, Jonathan Majors can't relate (1:39:10). We then get into voicemails, both of which lead Mal to put his foot down on "platonic" friendships (1:46:40)

Talk to us nice, or don't talk at all! Julian interrupted our pre-production meeting about threesomes and other important things to get our live reaction of making Complex's 2024 Hip Hop Media Power Ranking List, coming in at a whopping number 13 out of 25. We go through the list and read the nice words written about us, and reminisce on that got us here in the first place - our amazing unbiased coverage of the biggest hip-hop beef of the decade. Julian informs us that he got his first physical in 5 years this week, and the guys have a semi-mature conversation about prostate and colon care that they have scheduled (16:10). It's the Queen Bee Lil Kim's 50th b(earth)day, so Rory poses a question for the team - Lil Kim's verse on Quiet Storm Remix vs. Nicki Minaj's verse on Monster - which one hits harder (23:35)? Speaking of hip-hop greatness, Eminem dropped his album today! The team hasn't heard it yet, but they talk about how they are on the edge of their seats with anticipation (33:23). This episode is all over the place with the most random of discussions, including hawk-tuah girl's 15 minutes of fame (36:15), but more importantly, what exactly makes Rory, Mal, & Julian all the same... well, through the eyes of a woman, of course (43:09). Also, why didn't you guys tell us that Lébròn was Panamanian (48:21)?!? LRJ brought Sexyy Red & Andre 3k together as the true A&R he is, and we call Andre out on his BS. We have voicemails! A listener is accusing Mal of trying to slide on his girl, so we as loyal NRM community leaders call him to the podium to explain himself (56:32). The next voicemail is from a young lady wondering how she should handle the racist family of the man she is attempting to have a child with (1:05:31).

We were all littttt for the long holiday weekend and can't wait to tell you about it. JK, we're washed and did nothing, but we're going to tell you about it anyway. Rory was forced to socialize with people at a birthday party and in the steam room (09:38) so, if course, he was in hell. We get into a conversation about stealing and Mal shares a story with us about the first time he was involved in fraud (14:02). Demaris was outside for the 4th and is having trouble finding the straight men... she asks the boys for help and of course they laugh at her, but not more than they laugh at Julian's (failed) content creator bag at the Pangea party (21:28). Michael Rubin had his annual all-white party over the weekend (26:09) while the rest of us watched the 'Not Like Us' video (don't worry, Mal isn't going off on us today... he took an edible) (37:39). The only question he has as this all comes to an end is - why would Kendrick give Future and Metro that verse/moment? Why not do it solo? We attempt to answer this for him (51:17), and then Rory reaffirms his album of the year (1:02:55). Childish Gambino had a show over the weekend and we discuss predictions for his upcoming album (1:06:38). We have voicemails! Today our first listener wants our opinion on the recent uptick in the use of the word 'insecurity' when in reference to men in relationships (1:13:15). Our second listener needs help planning a first date, and of course we give him no advice he could actually use (1:28:23).

We’re back after a brief hiatus! We know you missed us, so we came back ready to talk about all of the events that transpired during our absence. We start off catching up with each other on the past week, with Julian letting us know what his wedding swag was (5:06). Mal lets us know that white people are in Harlem kissing the feet of black Israelites (12:20), and tells us about his experience in honoring the life of a late friend of the show . The BET awards happened, and Mal was extremely disappointed in, well, everything (16:09). We break down the new Will Smith song/performance (19:09), the Usher tribute (33:45), and the winners (including the Tyla v. Sexyy Red debate) (52:58). Rick Ross made a bad decision and we discuss the recording that came out of him (and his DJ) receiving consequences for their actions (1:08:54). Bronny James got drafted to the Lakers, and we are honest about how we feel about it (1:24:13). By the way, was Derek Fisher a great player (1:44:06)? Tweet Mal and let him know what you think. Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese are teammates on the WNBA All Stars team and we debate which one of them is having a better rookie year (1:50:54). We briefly touch on the new music that dropped (1:59:14), and then get into the first voicemail: A sweet, summer child needs advice on an older man spinning her (2:04:15). We give her some brutal honesty (hey, she asked for it). Our second voicemail is from a gentlemen who had a bad experience with a woman and wants our permission to hate her (2:20:29). Who would we be if we didn't grant him that?
Rest In Peace Upscale Cracc

Happy Friday! We start the episode off laughing at an absent Julian for getting in his industry bag at Kehlani's album release party that he, Rory, & Demaris attended a few days ago (03:58). Rory & Demaris catch Mal up on what their club swag was like as a team, and then Rory comes to claim his throne as the biggest video vixen of the cast (11:44). Did you stay up until 12 last night to hear Shaquille O'Neal's unreleased track featuring Jay Z and Nas? While we waited, we contemplated who was the best ball player turned rapper (17:24). Speaking of music, there's a plethora of releases coming, and we discuss who we're 'checking for' (ahh, I love a good callback) this weekend (24:13). Mal is gliding around the studio in joyful anticipation of the presidential debate, we briefly give our predictions on how America will be embarrassed (30:05). They give their opinions on Mase's story about Big L that was told on his podcast with Cam (37:55), as well as Gunna's confirmation that he is still signed to YSL (45:34). Victoria Monet's deadbeat father got exposed on twitter for having another daughter he abandoned (59:05), so both Mal and Rory share a story to remind us all to be careful who we sleep with and to get to know our neighbors. Our first voicemail is from a man who found himself in a compromising position and wants the team to share in his humiliation (1:17:30), and the other is from a young man looking for how to turn his finance career into a music industry one (1:23:44). Happy Monday gang! We roll straight into our recap of our weekends. Rory went to the Jersey Shore, which inspired a walk down memory lane of the greatest reality tv show to exist (09:18). We have a quick debate about whether magic is real (16:20), and then Mal surprises us all with a confession - he's a Baddies (Zeus Network) fan (19:21). While trying to convince the rest of the crew to become one too, Rory shares that he is now a non-misogynist in support of women's cheerleading after binging the series on the Dallas Cowboys cheerleading team (27:35). After a brief recap of that and some other exciting things going on in women's sports, we enter another (quick, I promise!) debate about whether Kendrick will put NLU on his next album (46:21), and also briefly touch on The Game's response to him not being in the building for the Pop Out show (52:48). Chief Keef successfully and safely performed in his hometown of Chicago for the first time in over a decade (1:01:52), and the XXL Freshman 2024 list is out - and pretty accurate this go 'round (1:07:23). Mal did an interview with XXL discussing whether streaming/podcasts are running hip-hop, and that leads us to discuss whether our team would enter the streaming arena, and how we would go about it (1:15:08). We then have a voicemail from a gentleman asking for advice on working at a label while trying to start his own (1:19:30), and another on connecting with new people over adult hobbies (1:33:39). TGIF! This was a long and fun-filled week but we start the episode off with the biggest event - Kendrick Lamar popping out in LA at The Forum. We streamed the event with our Patreon members on Discord, so if you're gang, you saw initial reactions in real time. If you didn't, Rory & Mal recap what they honestly thought of the show. They get into the actual music (04:30), whether this is considered an L for Drake or not (21:00), and address the hypocrisy of bringing Dr. Dre on stage (29:43). Our dear friend of the show Westside Boogie had an amazing performance with his idol, which leads us to ask - Can/Should you idolize your peers? (39:20) Yesterday was, most importantly, Juneteenth (TO FREEDOM!) and in blasphemous fashion, Julian decided to spend it with two white men and Masego (46:50). Rory informs us of how he once again made the room awkward, this time in front of a group of beautiful women. We then listen to the craziest voicemail we've ever received (55:33) and we attempt to give a woman some loving advice (of course, we fail and laugh at her, but what's new). Then we have a caller who is dating some one much more normal than ol' Nutcracker from the last voicemail - he just wants to know how to pursue a successful woman while still working toward his own come up. (1:11:51). We do a quick recap of some recent movies and tv shows (1:26:34), and then give some flowers to our late friend, legendary chef James Kent (1:30:21).
