New Season Part 2: Forget The Former Things

Listen Later

As Grace Testament Church continues the New Season series, Pastor Rafy Panlilio brings a timely reminder from Isaiah 43:18: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.”In this message, Pastor Rafy explains that while remembering can help us learn, there are moments when forgetting becomes part of healing. Many people remain stuck in yesterday—held captive by past failures, painful experiences, or even former successes that prevent them from seeing what God is doing today.Using the story of Israel’s exile and restoration, the message highlights two truths believers must understand in stepping into a New Season:1. Forget the former things. Both painful memories (exile) and past victories (exodus) can hold us back if we dwell on them. God calls His people to move forward instead of living in the past.2. Look for what God is doing now.Isaiah declares that God is always doing something new: “See, I am doing a new thing!” (Isaiah 43:19). The Lord may work through miracles or providence, but in every season, He continues to move in fresh ways. This message challenges believers to release the past, discern God’s present work, and step into the new things He is preparing.Because with God, there is always a New Season ahead.
