A new ground breaking discovery at Stonehenge has left the scientific and archaeological community shell-shocked. New research has revealed that the so called “Altar Stone,” which is buried at the center of the ring (that weighs approximately 6.5 tons and measures about 16 ft long), was transported some 5000 years ago - not from Wales as previously thought, but from northern Scotland –400+ miles away!
