And ye are complete in him - And, ye are filled with him. Our word complete doesn’t explain what Paul’s trying to say. The philosophy, thoughts, and ways of this world are empty, but there was a fullness, in Christ.
The Colossians were empty - spoiled (robbed) and deprived of every good, while following the empty philosophers.
But since they had received Christ Jesus they were filled with him. This is the true meaning of the word. We’re incomplete in ourselves, but in Christ we have everything! Complete salvation, complete forgiveness, and complete victory!
