New To You

After being made redundant (again!) and the tough realisation that I hadn't been following my passion or purpose in life (and I had no idea what my purpose might be) I decided to do something about it and this is me sharing that story. 

Inspired by the people I get to talk to, this bonus episode is something I will do each month where I discuss what is New To Me and why I'm doing it. I am pretty excited about this first one and also incredibly nervous that it's just going to be little old me, on my own. But screw it, I want to do it and I believe that there are likeminded people out there.

Being a parent can be a thankless task somedays but what about when you're trying to navigate a new relationship, maintain lockdown rules during a global pandemic and become a step parent as you blend a family that takes you from a unit of 2 to 6! 

The strength of my dear friend Emma and her new partner as they have taken on this amazing  adventure in the quest to build a relationship, a family and a new life that they both want is inspiring and I am so happy to have her as a guest on the show.

When I met Ruth in 2019 I had no idea that just under a year later she would leave her glamorous life of makeup to set up a Fishmonger & Pantry with her partner,  Dave whilst also managing clients for her design agency.

Fast forward to February 2020 and while their hugely successful shop is closed for a brief refurbishment we were able to chat about this new business venture and how, if she had it her way the whole place would be pink.

The strength you need to set up a new business in the midst of a global pandemic is inspiring in itself but hearing that this new challenge has meant she now knows herself better and feels like she's gone back to a time where she really embraced who she was and her creativity means that I know that this conversation is only part 1 of a fantastic success story!
