Welcome, 2025! If you subscribe to the traditional 12-month calendar, it's a New Year, and there are many beautiful reasons to enjoy this fresh start. 🎊
It's also imperative to acknowledge that parts of the world are in shambles, in ways that are completely unfair to the people who are suffering through conflict that's outside of their control / without the freedom of choice. Racism, sexism, classism, natural disasters, domestic and international terrorism, etc... whether or not you're able to relate, these are real things that real people + their loved ones are experiencing. Even if it doesn't directly impact your existence, it still affects "U." 🌌 (the Universe/You)
*A perspective that may or may not resonate, but is important to express: As a human race, we absolutely can (and should) do better in how we treat ourselves + the world/universe around us -- we're all on an individual and collective journey. 💡
Accountability and growth purposes aside, closing the door to negative judgement opens the mind/heart to more creative/innovative possibilities in the most incredible ways. Healthy conflict is sometimes necessary out of protection or advocating for the most vulnerable, but it's never a well-earned 'win' (success achieved genuinely) if you're causing harm to people or the planet just to help yourself. As we progress through this new calendar year, may we all aspire to higher heights of authenticity, compassion, empathy, kindness, diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging... and whatever else resonates for ya. :)
