In New York City, there is a strange and terrifying creature that is often seen after heavy flooding and hurricanes, when the underground sewers are flooded. It resembles a human, but with reptile-like characteristics, such as sharp teeth, scaly skin and glowing eyes. Reports of the New York Lizardman began circulating around the mid 1900’s.

One of the most notable encounters include a group of maintenance workers who saw a “humanoid creature with reptilian features while inspecting a section of the sewer system near the East River” which was “about five feet tall, with scales and a long, whip-like tail.” They claimed the lizardman “made no aggressive movements before darting into a dark tunnel.” 

Could this creature be a human-animal hybrid experiment, a subterranean ancient alien, or a monstrous mutant from the result of the toxic waste in the city sewers? Or could it be a product of overactive imagination?
