New Zealand Today

To finish the season we have a behind the scenes BONUS episode with uncut audio from Guys first sit down with The Legendary Jack Karlson!

Guy’s final hang with Jack - where they discuss regrets, apologies, the meaning behind the phrase “Democracy Manifest,” and Guy grills Jack about a hilarious rumour involving a man named “Helmet Markson.”

Guy is back in the Auckland studio with Matt because he was worried that if he put this episode at the end of the season, no one would listen to it. He doesn’t let Matt talk much, but when he does, Matt mainly talks about Dreamworld. Also, our editor, Nadia, makes an appearance!

More episodes with Jack coming next week!

Listener discretion is advised for this episode as Guy and Jack discuss one of the darkest and most serious stories from Jacks life; The disappearance and murder of his wife Ivanka “Eve” Karlson. This is a continuation from the story that Jack was telling in Ep. 01 and the last time we talk about it with Jack on this podcast.

For more information we recommend “Carnage” by Mark Dapin.

Welcome to season 3 of the New Zealand Today podcast featuring Jack Karlson and hosted by Guy Williams.

This episode features Guy’s tribute to Jack, the story of how the two first met, and their first interview. It also features director's commentary with New Zealand Today director Matt Cooke! If you’d like to skip straight to Ep 01 with new stories from Jack then please do so now, we will not be offended!
