Friendship is the foundation for any relationship. Biblical Friendship is deeper than one’s family.

When provoked, be patient! Your provocation may be for the next generation!

In times of provocation, it’s easier to turn on one another instead of turning towards each other. However, a provocation is an opportunity for us to come together not fall apart.

We continue both in James and the story of Hannah and Peninnah.

With so much that happened in the U.S. this past week (January 6, 2020), what should the Christian response be? Is the church to take sides when provoked and poked to? There is a third option. 

In the same way that God equals love, God’s people should embody love like no other. 

Jesus broke down our deepest divisions so that we can be bridges of peace to our world. 

Life together is God’s dream for our world, and the church is the vehicle through which God brings it to reality.
