Newell Normand

Rebecca Conwell, President & CEO of the UNO Research & Technology Center, joins Newell to talk about the Louisiana Future Energy Center, whose construction is nearing completion, as well as the programming that UNO will bring to the space. GNO, Inc. is the main partner on this project. The Louisiana Future Energy Center is a dynamic hub designed to foster innovation and growth in the energy sector. It serves as a collaborative co-working space, a launchpad for energy companies entering the market, and a catalyst for developing cutting-edge energy programs that will shape the future.

On Thursday, Feb. 19, New Orleans & Company and the University of New Orleans will kick off Maestri Classic weekend with a FREE, family-friendly Opening Night Celebration at UNO Maestri Field at Privateer Park, in partnership with the iconic retro video game Backyard Baseball. Think All-Star ceremony energy, minus the airfare: music, fan experiences, commemorative giveaways, and a feel-good moment under the lights that’s sure to steal the show: the Miracle League of Greater New Orleans All-Stars Game.

On today's show, Dave Cohen asks, what exactly is Mardi Gras.

Then Dave has on
