There is an interesting study by the Cato Institute that basically says we should repeal federal laws on private sector labor unions. Their research shows that labor laws of the 1930s (that are still on the books) are deeply flawed, damage the economy, and violate individual rights and the freedom of association. This decision comes after the state Supreme Court concluded the city’s recent sanitation dispute. This extension guarantees that the DDD will have a vendor for garbage collection and street cleaning.
