A formal petition has been filed to recall the St. Bernard Parish President. According to the petition, Curtis and Assvedo filed the recall because Parish President Louis Pomes supports a House bill to help create a road and other infrastructure projects related to the Louisiana International Terminal, also known as the LIT facility. The terminal, described as a $1.8 billion container facility in St. Bernard, has been controversial due to health and quality of life concerns by residents in St. Bernard Parish. President Pomes joins Newell to share his side of the story.
