The journey toward spiritual maturity lasts our entire lives...no exceptions.

"When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me." - 1 Corinthians 13:11

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:6-7

Do the demands of life overwhelm and burden you? Rely on the God and not on yourself. He will lift you up.

Sunday Sermon based in Genesis 3:1-13. Pastor Phillip talks about the importance of us breaking the blame game if we want to move forward in our lives. We naturally want to cast the blame to others, but our freedom from the sin that enslaves us begins with us accepting responsibility and leaving it behind through repentance. 

"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need." - Hebrews 4:15-16

Is life full of difficulties and unwelcome circumstances and changes? Remember, God is far bigger than anything we may face.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." - Isaiah 9:6

"The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty." - Proverbs 21:5

Life robs us of peace that is ours in Christ. Why? Because we are too busy for our own good!

God has given us a guidebook, a road map if you will, to guide us for righteous living...The Holy Bible.

"You will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching you have followed." - 1 Timothy 4:6

"Blessed are those whose...hope is in the Lord their God." - Psalm 146:5

Our happiness depends less on our circumstances than our thoughts...and our thoughts, if not on God, can leave us in a negative place. 

"For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." - 1 John 5:4

When we face the struggles of life, God is ready, willing, and able to protect us. Let's face it, we will all face adversity!

Christ came to this earth so that our lives could be lived to the fullest...those aren't my words, look at the text in John 10:10: "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Those are the words of Jesus. We cannot live life to the full without the One who came so that we could!

We must be listening for the Word of God, which is the Light of the World...and the strangest thing about creation, that light was created before the beacons of light we see today...What a God we serve!
