Sometimes the future seems bright...sometimes not so much. But God is good and even when we can't see what is around the corner, we can rest in knowing that God is already there.

"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes." - Psalm 118:8-9

"Count your blessings, name them one by one..." and continue counting them as you go throughout your days. 

"Blessings crown the head of the righteous." - Proverbs 10:6

Life demands patience...and lots of it! This world isn't perfect...and neither are the inhabitants...and that is troublesome, but God is worth waiting on. How can we deal with the imperfections?

"We urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone." - 1 Thessalonians 5:14

Everywhere we turn, at least it seems this way, the world promises us happiness...but never fulfills.

"The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace." - Psalm 29:11

All of us have sinned...All of us have fallen short of God's glory, but we have hope in God's love!

"There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." - Romans 8:1

"Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him all creatures here below! Praise Him above ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!" - Doxology

"Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever." - Psalm 106:1

But remain faithful, the remnant will remain!

Our lives are a series of choices. From the moment we awake in the morning to the laying down of the evening we make countless decisions...some good and some not so good. 

"Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things [that you need] will be given to you as well." - Matthew 6:33

Sometimes people behave badly....sometimes very badly. It is hard many times to return kindness when someone is unkind to you. 

"Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared." - Proverbs 22:24-25

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:9

When our plans do not work out...we do not have to worry...our plans may not work out so that God can work out something new and better for us.
