We were delighted to hear from one of our church elders, Dr Daniel Pampuch on Sunday as he shared about God's big story. We have something the world desperately needs which is hope. And that hope is found in Jesus Christ.

CS Lewis says, "Hope is one of the Theological virtues. This means that a continual looking forward to the eternal world is not (as some modern people think) a form of escapism or wishful thinking, but one of the things a Christian is meant to do."

It's how you perceive Jesus and your revelation of him, that determines how you relate to God, to others and to the world.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - Proverbs 9:10

Such a great message on being grateful, thankful and celebrating who God is. Thanksgiving is transformed into praise which becomes joy-filled adoration. And adoration is what we were designed for. To enjoy God's presence and to adore him for who he is!

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thank to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. - Psalm 100:4-5

Jesus has come to seek and save the lost. He who was with God, in heaven, in Glory, the one who created all things, the one who breathed every one of us into existence, clothed himself with the frailty of creation that he might seek and save us!

Jesus, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness - Philippians 2:6-7

Prayer is all about intimacy with God. It is the adoring submission of the creature to the Creator. Our intimacy with God is the greatest weapon we have against the darkness. Why do we pray? So that we might be intimate with God.

Everyday supernatural generosity is transformative for rich and poor alike. When we are generous, the power of materialism loosens over us.

In all seasons, we need to fix our eyes on the Lord. My hope is in heaven, my trust is in the Lord!
