In this podcast Ann Collins, in conversation with Lisa Rickert, recalls how she and her husband Peter arrived in Newman, via Onslow and Port Hedland, to start the first supermarket in Newman, She describes the town and includes experiences such as going to Church, and ordering groceries via Bechtel. She also remembers the beginnings of the first golf course out near the old Mt Newman homestead. One of the highlights of the early years was the arrival of many royal visitors, including The Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon.
