I just wanted to take a few minutes to touch base and fill you in on what’s happened on the podcast, livestream and in the Beyond Belief Sobriety community.

Podcast

The podcast is doing well. I’ve been consistently posting an episode every week. I always post on Wednesday morning. So, if you subscribe to the podcast, you probably get a notice on your phone every Wednesday. If you don’t subscribe to it, and are want to, I’ll post a link in the show notes so you can do that.

My guest this week will be Dr. Daniel Hochman, a doctor from Austin, Texas who specializes in treating people struggling with addiction. He was super nice. I enjoyed the conversation and I think it will make for an interesting episode. You can find it anywhere you download your podcasts and of course, the video will be on our YouTube Channel.

Oh, you may have noticed that I posted some episodes that I recorded a couple of years ago for another podcast that I was doing at the time called “My Secular Sobriety”. I closed that podcast down a while back because I found it impossible to do more than one podcast at a time and the material, we cover on Beyond Belief Sobriety is identical to what I was doing on that podcast anyway. There will be more of those episodes that I’ll post over the next weeks and months.

Livestreams

We resumed our weekly livestreams last month, and at time and day that makes it easier for a larger number of people to participate. You can find the stream on our YouTube Channel every Saturday at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. That is 5:00 PM in the UK, so it’s a lot easier now for people in Europe to join us. My cohost is Mary C. from Savannah, Georgia. Sometimes, Mary and I will have a guest and other times, we’ll discuss a topic. It’s an interactive experience. You can comment in the live chat on Facebook and YouTube, call into our toll free number or even join the stream with us if you want. All of that information will be posted in the show notes as well.

This Saturday, on April the 9th our guest will be Roger C. from AA Agnostica. It’ll be fun to get to know Roger better and to hear about his experience running the AA Agnostica website all these years. He’s been at it since June 15th of 2011. If you aren’t familiar with AA Agnostica, you should check out the site at aaagnostica.org. There’s a lot of great material there.

Private Facebook Group

If you are not aware, we have a private Facebook Group just for listeners of the podcast. You can find it at https://www.facebook.com/groups/beyondbeliefsobriety or when you’re on Facebook, just search for Beyond Belief Sobriety and you’ll find it.

Weekly Listener Meetings

The weekly listener meetings have been going well. We typically have over twenty people in the meeting, and we have had some great speakers. Every Tuesday at 8:00 pm Eastern, I invite a guest from a previous episode to speak for about thirty minutes and then we open the room up for comments and questions. The meetings aren’t recorded or posted anywhere, these are private recovery meetings, and I’m mindful of everyone’s expectation for confidentiality.

This week our speaker is Anne Porter who appeared on Episode 255: Atheists, Agnostics, and Alcoholics Anonymous. I’ll post the meeting information in the show notes, but you can also find the event posted on our public Facebook page and in our private Facebook group.

One-On-One Meetings

If you want to meet with me individually, my calendar is free. I’ll post a link to the calendar in the show notes and if you would like to chat, please schedule a time on my calendar and we’ll get together to shoot the breeze. I’ve had several of these individual conversations over the...
