  • Stroman on Sports: The House Settlement

Deborah Stroman speaks with 97.9 The Hill’s Aaron Keck on Friday, May 2, with a focus on the House v. NCAA settlement – which will lead to direct revenue-sharing between colleges and student-athletes. That’s a big development in college athletics that has a lot of observers concerned, and Deborah’s among them: on the one hand, college athletes will finally be able to share in the money they’ve been earning for their schools for many years – but on the other hand, the change also has the potential to change the relationship between schools and student-athletes, in ways that threaten some of the positive impacts that college athletics have always provided.

Dr. Deborah Stroman — who is a UNC professor, sports businesswoman, former basketball player, and columnist — chats with 97.9 The Hill’s Brighton McConnell each week about the world of sports. Click here to listen to their past conversations on the latest sports headlines and impact in the game, on culture, and for business.
