Okay, we start out with too much about sports, but with Michigan, Indiana Fever, and the Patriots all sucking we had to get that out of the way. Then we got into politics: Collins vs. Jackson, Bobby Charles, and the national outlook. Oh, yeah, the Red Sox are playing the Yankees. Will we be happy or sad about sports next podcast? Chapter 38 of News to ME: Ken & Mike Redux has dropped! Sorry for the long absence, but back in the saddle again. We start with a tribute to Dolly Parton, also mentioning Gram Parsons (from Flying Burritos - and you will know why if you see the video), Emmylou Harris, Lowell George, and Linda Ronstadt (whom we interviewed on WGAN many years ago). Then turned to the Lindsay Clancy trial (mental disease or defect or evil?), a summary of how we view the election landscape in Maine and nationally right now (just a hint - the only race in contest is the Collins - Jackson race), and wrapped it up with Patriots, Red Sox, and Michigan. Chapter 37 of News to ME: Ken & Mike Redux has dropped! We talk some politics, some sports, and some fairs. Primarily local politics: governor's race, congressional race, and, of course, the BIG one - Susan Collins versus Troy Jackson. Right now we basically agree with each other: Hannah, Paul, and Susan win their prospective races, but it isn't Labor Day yet, so too soon to call. Special guest Stephanie Anderson, long time Cumberland County District Attorney (twenty eight years!) joins us to explain why she is running for DA again, and why you should vote for her. And, yes, she was the first republican I ever voted for. But now she is not party affiliated, which is also true for me and Mike. Chapter 35 of News to ME: Ken & Mike Redux has dropped! A VERY spirited discussion about Anthony Fauci, which we had to stop before Mike came through the computer screen to choke me. Then another spirited discussion about Todd Blanche, although Mike just let me vent. Talked about Lindsay Clancy's trial (Massachusetts mother who killed her three children), a few minutes about Amanda Knox's comedy routine, and ended with my rant about Trump's corruption and the democrat's complete inability to use it as a campaign vehicle, and, instead, proposes a bill which could be the stupidest bill in the history of Congress (and why on earth is Chuck Schumer still the leader of the democrats in the Senate? He is an imbecile). I should mention we started the podcast with Mike loving the Red Sox. And that Stephanie Anderson, candidate for Cumberland County DA, will be our guest next Thursday!

We predicted the winners of the republican and democratic gubernatorial primaries and chatted about whether or not Graham Platner is really an oyster farmer. Chatted about the Iran war and the alleged peace deal. Wrapped it up with a discussion about the World Cup and how in the world did Boston run out of beer. Will Boston's party town reputation be permanently destroyed? Enjoy.
