Happy Father's Day to all. After going to my first movie in a year and a half last night, i couldn't help but pontificate about how our lives have changed in the last year. Also, Top Six Dads you should know about. 

How does a boy from Oklahoma who was raised and schooled in sooner land take five or six history classes, including having to memorize the name and order of every governor of Oklahoma, yet not ever hear one word about the worst massacre in US history until the Watchman TV show? It's hard to call the republican senators who voted against a January 6 commission anything by cowards. Why they would continue to hitch their wagon with the greatest narcissist to ever be elected president remains a mystery to me. But there you have it. On this Memorial Day weekend. Plus, the lives America lost in in wars from the Civil to 9/11.

I am all in on not having to wear masks any more, but what has really changed to cause this change in CDC policy? Also, a few final comments about the purge of Liz Cheney. And my Top Five? The five best characters who wore masks, of course!

It is inconceivable that any political party would purge a man or woman of principle, who not only stands for what she believes in, but what she believes in is true. Yet when Liz Cheney says she doesn't support the "big lie" that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent, instead of joining or applauding her, the republican party is about to abandon her. 

So, yes, i was perturbed on my show with Mike Violette on Wednesday, because absent a truly insane person (i.e. Marjorie Taylor Greene) you should be able to find something you like or agree with in any person. Hear me rant. Also, my picks for the best five movies that won the Academy Award for Movie of the year. 

Yes he was guilty. Yes we breath a sigh of relief with the guilty verdict. But was justice served? I don't always agree with AOC, but this time she was spot on. The verdict is not a substitute for a change in policy. And five other examples of police brutality in our recent past. 

Okay conservatives let's not pretend that you would refrain from politicizing the Supreme Court. See Merrick Garland's nomination by Barack Obama. It won't happen, but a man can have a dream, yes? Get Joe Manchin to repeal the filibuster and we'll be on our way! Also, my Top Five (six) is the times in history the number of justices have changed. 

Yes a person is innocent until proven guilty. But can you watch the video of George Floyd saying "I can't breath" and have any doubt that he was killed by a police officer leaning on his neck? Also, remembering four other black human beings killed by inappropriate and illegal police behavior.
