The Nigerian Stock Exchange in its recent spree of appointments of Brand ambassadors, on tuesday announced the appointment Tuface Idibia as an ambassador. The exchange also reiterated its commitment to promoting ethical business practices of all  corporate.

As the NSE ambassador, Tuface is expected to lend his voice to raising awareness and mobilizing support for the Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives of The Nigerian Stock Exchange geared toward achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Nigeria. 

China emerges the saviour on tuesday, causing the stock market to close sharply higher after Monday currency-play.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 312 points, more than one percent. The S&P and Nasdaq were also up more than one percent while European indexes suffered losses.  U.S. indexes rebounded after Monday's steep three percent losses set off by China's decision to let the value of yuan drop to a 10 year low after President Donald Trump labeled China a currency manipulator. 

An alleged private document is said to be circulating among banks indicating that Kenya is seeking 150 billion Shilling loan in tranches,  at a rate of about 8.65 percent (London Interbank Offered Rate plus 645 basis points), equivalent to what Kenya recently secured for its longest maturity Eurobond of 30 years, yet the syndicated debt is to be paid back in six years. 

However, it is reported that Haron Sirima who is the  Director-general Public Debt Management Office and also former Central Bank (CBK) deputy governor  denies any awareness of such a loan.
