Grace is such a common word in our lives and faith that we can take it for granted. What is grace? How much is too much grace? Doesn’t grace cheapen our faith? In scripture, grace is tied closely to our salvation so these questions can create problems not only with our understanding of the word but with our relationship with God. This week we'll see what it means for our lives when God functions in grace.

The story of the work of God in the time since Jesus’ earthly ministry ended, is the story of the Holy Spirit. Let us together, as friends, consider who He is and how we might engage purposefully with His presence and power in our lives and thus be witnesses to the Good News of the Gospel and the Kingdom of God.

“I pray.”

“I have so much to say.”

“I don’t know what to say.”

“I know God hears me.”

“I don’t know if anyone hears me.”

“I know my prayers make a difference.”

“Do my prayers make a difference?”

What is justice? Like most of the words we have been exploring this Summer, it is in many ways in the eye of the beholder. Our experiences of justice and injustice determine our understanding and use of this word, and there are many voices telling us what it should look like. One of the most popular texts from Bible during these times is found in Micah 6:8, “Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God.” It calls God’s people to action, but doesn’t provide clear instructions as to how we might actually obey the command. Let’s begin a conversation in our community about how we might seek God’s direction in this vital area of Christian discipleship.

There are not many things that our culture has more to say about than LOVE. And it shows itself in a lot of different ways.

In scripture, we see multiple examples of LOVE. Our main focus will be that which God attributes to himself. Love is not just something that we are called to do but a way of life - we are called to embody LOVE.

We'll examine what culture says about LOVE. We'll examine what scripture says about LOVE. And, we'll wrestle with our response to both.

Over the past 10 weeks we have explored what it means to be human beings experiencing life's challenges. This week as we wrap up, join Josh, Melody and Grant as we take one last look at the concepts of Orientation, Disorientation and Reorientation and consider for ourselves what it means to live as a human being in a world where God is present and active in all circumstances.
