Danny speaks with Richard Pfeffer, Field Development Chair Of The Portland Rugby Club.
The Portland Rugby Football Club (PRFC), incorporated in 1969, is the oldest rugby club in the state of Maine. Since its inception, PRFC has provided continuous leadership in the further development of the game in Maine. Many of its players have become involved in coaching and refereeing at both the club, college and elite levels. PRFC fields women’s and men’s senior teams and is launching a youth and high school program.
The Club is a Maine nonprofit corporation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and led by a nine member Board of Directors. The Board members are all former players and bring critical expertise to developing the future of rugby in Maine, including business leadership, entrepreneurship, law, architecture, real estate development, strategic operations and delivery.
