The 2025 Ralph L. Sacco Scholarships for Brain Health have been awarded to Hortense Triniac, Ph.D., and Katy Walsh, Ph.D. Each researcher will receive a $150,000 two-year scholarship to support their scientific research. Triniac will focus on studying how liver proteins may reduce stroke risk, while Walsh will investigate mechanisms of cerebral amyloid angiopathy. These scholarships are made possible by a generous bequest from the late Dr. Ralph L. Sacco, supporting the American Academy of Neurology and the American Heart Association in advancing brain health research. Both researchers will begin their projects on July 1, 2025.
