In Europe, markets are mostly higher as traders price in another rate cut by the ECB. Oil prices are down this morning with geopolitical issues and expected production volume increases in focus.
S&P Futures are flat to lower ahead of this morning as we head into the week with employment data in focus. Fed Chair Jerome Powell is speaking this afternoon. The union of dockworkers on the east coast appear likely to go on strike a midnight as contract expires. Boeing talks with union officials are stalled over pension issues. Auto stocks are lower as Stellantis lowers its guidance. AT&T is selling its 70% stake in DirectTV to TPG. In Europe, markets are weakening as the selloff in auto stocks is pushing indices lower. Oil prices are edging higher as additional Chinese stimulus and elevated Middle East tensions are pushing oil prices higher this morning.

Union leaders at Boeing did not take the latest offer to a vote. A longshoreman strike is possible next week, a prolong strike would hurt holiday sales. Bristol Meyers receives approval for its schizophrenia treatment. In Europe, markets are positive luxury and mining's stocks are higher. Oil prices are edging higher ahead of next week's OPEC meeting.
S&P Futures are displaying a strong leg higher this morning. Key factors behind the positive action are the stimulus plans out of China and the positive earnings announcement from Micron. Economic data will be on watch today with multiply economic reports due out. Market will also be paying attention to a host of Fed speakers this morning. Southwest Airline is holding a key investors day today as Elliott mgmt pushed for changes. After the bell, COST to release earnings and tomorrow PCE data is scheduled for release. In Europe, markets are gaining, autos & luxury and mining's stocks are higher. Oil prices are off by 2%. Saudia Aribia is said to be abandoning its $100 barrel price target as it looks to ramp up production.
S&P Futures are ticking lower ahead of the opening bell today. Sentiment is cautious this morning as markets hit another all time high yesterday. China continued to provide stimulus as its central bank cut its one-year loan rate to 2% from 2.3%. Meta's Meta Connect event starts today, CEO to speak at 1:00 pm. Presidential candidate Harris is said to be making a major economic speech today. The DOJ is said to be investigating SAP and Accenture. Micron to release earnings after the bell today. In Europe, markets are gaining, autos & luxury and mining's stocks are higher. Oil prices are off by 0.75% with stockpiles data in focus.
S&P Futures are flat to higher ahead of the opening bell today. Sentiment is positive as China finally releases a strong stimulus package. Visa is on watch as the Justice Dept is said to preparing a lawsuit over anti-competitive practices. Boeing looks to end union strike and send a proposal yesterday. Fed Governor Michelle Bowman to speak today, she was the only dissenting vote in last weeks Fed decision. Senator will be grilling the CEO of Bovo Nordisk today over the high cost of weight loss drugs. In Europe, markets are gaining, autos & luxury and mining's stocks are higher. Oil prices are displaying strong gains of more than 2%.
S&P Futures are slightly higher this morning. There are a host of Fed speakers this morning. Flash PMI data out of Europe were negative this morning which may push the ECB to ease monetary policy. China PBOC lower a borrowing rate this morning and scheduled an announcement for tomorrow. DELL, PLTR & ERIE have been added to the SPX index as of today. Intel is higher due to market chatter that Apollo is preparing a multi-billion-dollar investment. House Speaker Mike Johnson indicated that the House will vote this week on a 3-month stopgap funding bill. In Europe, markets are mixed autos & luxury stocks are lower Oil prices are edging higher.
S&P Futures are weakening this morning as the markets react to more cental bank decisions. The economic calendar is light today. Overnight, Lennar, Fed Ex and MillerKnoll released disappointing earnings. The BOJ and the PBOC left rates unchanged, markets were expecting a rate cut from the PBOC. Nike's CEO announced his retirement. Autos are weak as Mercedes trimmed its forecast amid ongoing weakness in China. Chip stocks are also falling. In Europe, markets are pulling back as autos, luxury and tech stocks fall. Oil prices are edging lower as China's PBOC left rates unchanged overnight.
S&P Futures are displaying an aggressive leg higher this morning. After a failed rally yesterday, stocks are back in the green as markets across the globe push higher due to yesterday FOMC announcement. This morning, we have the Jobless Claims and Housing data due out. After the bell today FDX, LEN and MLKN are scheduled to release earnings. Boeing is making moves to preserve cash as strike talks stall. The SEC approved a change to market rules to allow many stocks to be quoted in 1/2 cent increments. The size of the cute, the Dot Plot & Powell's Press Conference will be in focus today. Additional monetary policy meeting this will include Thursdays BOE meeting and Friday's BOJ meeting. The Biden administration is moving forward with its tariff plans on shipments valued under $800. CRWD is holding an investor briefing today at 2:00 pm. JP Morgan has entered into talks with AAPL over its credit card business. In Europe, markets are in the red this morning with weakness in healthcare, tech & luxury stocks, Oil prices have turned lower as stockpile estimates came in with a build.
