S&P Futures are trading higher this morning as global markets are positive on China reopening its borders. As a result, oil is trading 3% higher and European / Asian stocks are higher. The week ahead is light for economic reports, however, Fed Chair Jerome Powell is scheduled to speak tomorrow and on Thursday there is the CPI release.

S&P Futures are flat to higher this morning ahead of today's nonfarms payrolls report. Markets are anticipating an increase by 202,000 in December with the unemployment rate holding steady at 3.7%. The dollar has risen to a 4 week high ahead of the payrolls figure. European exchanges are flat to higher and oil is lower this morning.

S&P Futures are trading lower this morning, the last trading day of the year. Without any significant economic or earnings reports due out, the market is likely to drift lower. European markets are lower and oil futures have reversed course and are not flat to higher.

Jobless Claims are expected to come in at or near 225k for the week ending 12/24.
