In the second episode of our three-part series, we hear from Sean Sherman, founder/CEO of the Sioux Chef and co-founder of North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems (NATIFS). Sherman’s focus is the revitalization and evolution of Indigenous food systems in North America. He shares his personal story as a Native American chef on a mission to grow a global movement for Indigenous cooking and culinary knowledge during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

This week’s guest is Germaine Jenkins, co-founder and chief farm officer of Fresh Future Farm in South Carolina. Jenkins is building community through farming and creating an abundance of fresh food in an underserved neighborhood. We’ll hear Jenkins’s vision for the future of food access — and learn about the groundbreaking work Fresh Future Farm is doing to cultivate the next generation of Black farmers.
