Travis was born in Cadillac MI before moving to Scottsdale, AZ. His rough and tumble up bringing in the mean streets of Northern Michigan provided invaluable life lessons. After Michigan Travis found himself as a janitor at Harvard University in Boston, MA. His most notable accomplishments at Harvard were in the form of finishing complex mathematical equations on chalk boards found throughout the halls of this prestigious University. During his time in Boston his best friends included Ben and Casey Affleck where they worked the “Big Dig” construction site. Although his friends encouraged him to strive for so much more in life, he left Boston and went to go see about a girl in Scottsdale Arizona.

There in the sun kissed Arizona desert, Travis came up with the ingenious brand name of Scotchdale. He teamed up with his current business partner John McDonnell to build the “Most Livable Whisky”. The goal of Scotchdale brand is to import and sell the highest quality, most flavorful whisky on Earth. Travis is often quoted as saying “Scotchdale not only a lifestyle, but also a state of mind.” Come to Scotchdale where one doesn’t have to spend a lot of money to get complex and flavorful whisky. Travis will continue to solve nearly impossible equations, only now in the spirits business.

John McDonnell has been an Entrepreneur and business man since moving from New Hampshire to Arizona in 2004. Starting in real estate and then renewable energy, John often bought businesses and sold them off in pieces to other companies. John was at a conference in Beverly Hills while driving his Lotus and grinding gears trying to figure out the European clutch. John pulled over to the side of the road and asked for direction when he met Travis. While driving around California like they were on rails, Travis and John met and formed the most beautiful unlikely relationship together; Scotchdale. As one of his business ventures, together they branded the best and most drinkable whisky. Imported from Scotland and blended from two distinct regions of Scotland; Highland and Speyside, extracting the best flavor profile from each region. The unique blend allows John and Travis to bring amazing whisky to the masses, while organically selling local with their local whisky company. John is helping give Travis his fairytale ending.
