Houston Chronicle writer Jonathan Alexander joins Next Up to break down the Texans offseason priorities as the NFL Combine and 2024 Draft approach. Alexander starts with players in free agency, especially defensive linemen Jonathan Greenard and Sheldon Rankins. "I think the Texans are going to prioritize those players," but "there's no guarantee in free agency." The Texans have players that they could retain, but could also look outside the organization to sign free agents. "I don't think a guy like Saquon Barkley is realistic," but the Texans need to "surround C.J. Stroud with weapons." Stroud has been in commercials, guesting on talk shows and making appearances at events such as Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic, earning the MVP. Stroud will also play in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday, but Alexander says Stroud is "getting his money right now" and is not worried about his preparation for next season.
