The GM for a Day miniseries continues, and this time a Packers fan gets handed the Minnesota Vikings for Part 1 of our Vikings GM episode.After a last-place finish in the NFC North, the plan is to get Minnesota back on track, and apparently that means tearing a pretty good chunk of the roster apart. There’s a big Jordan Addison decision, a splash in free agency, some tough calls on veteran players and a plan to reset the future at quarterback.Our resident Vikings fan hated basically every minute of it. Some of the moves do make sense though. Or maybe the Packers fan is just being vindictive.And if one of the free-agent moves sounds a little outdated by the time you hear this, just know it made a lot more sense when we recorded it. The GM for a Day miniseries is officially underway.

Each of us was randomly assigned an NFC North rival and had to put together a realistic plan to rebuild them after a last-place finish. First up, our Lions representative gets the Chicago Bears.

The plan includes taking a big swing on defense, making a tough contract decision, adding help in free agency and exploring another move in the secondary. A few big names come up, and some of the ideas definitely sparked more debate than others.

We go through the full plan, argue over what actually makes sense and give the Bears rebuild a final grade.

The full NFC North crew is back, and this time we’re building the perfect current NFC North roster.

Each host drafts their ideal team using only current NFC North players, going position by position: quarterback, running back, wide receivers, tight end, tackle, edge rusher, linebacker, cornerback, safety, and head coach.

Some picks were easy. Some turned into real debates. And by the end, everyone had a different version of what the perfect NFC North roster should look like.
