Ford capped off his senior season with 54 receptions for 624 yards and nine touchdowns.  The first-team All-SIAC selection was also named second-team all-conference punt returner, Ford had 25 punt returns for 266 yards and two scores.  He had three returns for 82 yards and a touchdown at Miles and three returns for 74 yards and a touchdown against Concordia College.     Ford is a multi-talented athlete in both football and basketball. Seton Hill senior wide out DJ Carter has been selected to play in the 2012 D2 vs NAIA Senior Bowl.  The game will be played on Saturday, December 15,  2012 at Doug Shaw Stadium, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. College all-star games provide one of the greatest platforms for small schools prospects looking to get noticed by the National Football League. This past season Carter was named first team All WVIAC wideout.  DJ Carter pulled in 84 receptions for 954 yards and 4 touchdowns.  He led the WVIAC in receptions and was second in the league in receiving yards, his 84 catches are a new Seton Hill single season record.  Carter was 10th in Division II in receptions per game.

College Sporting News named Mike Niam to the 2012 FCS Preseason All-America Teams. Wofford's linebacker eventually missed a few games during the course of his senior season hampering his chances  of making first team, but did make second team All-SoCon. Niam is athletic enough to drop back in coverage while preserving the interior with his excellent ball hawking skills stuffing the inside. The Hudson, OH native leaves the Terriers defense with 274 tackles (6.2 per game), three interceptions and five forced fumbles.

California (PA) senior QB Peter Lalich took little time getting back int he groove throwing four first-half touchdown passes in his first action in over a month. The Vulcans went on the beat Millersville 58-26. In just two seasons, he ranks fourth all-time in school history in passing yards and touchdown passes. Don't think that is impressive their former starting quarterback Josh Portis plays with the Seattle Seahawks.

Newberry finished the season with a 4-6 overall record and tied for third in the South Atlantic Conference with a 4-3 record. Senior defensive back Brian Spencer led the Wolves with five interceptions for 67 and one touchdown. Spencer took on a larger role this season and numbers speak volumes of the crucial plays he is capable of making. Spencer has the size NFL teams are looking for at 6'0 tall and 190 pounds. The Columbia, SC local finished leaves Newberry with seven career interceptions and 64 tackles and 5 blocked kicks.

The Nigerian Institute of American Football was founded in June, 2011 at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria. The Institute was founded by three American former-athletes. Daryl Hayes (an assistant coach at Shepherd University of West Virginia), Ricardo Dickerson (former football standout at the University of Maryland/Oakland Raiders), and Gregory Hendricks (former professional basketball player/coach) collaborated to bring American football to Nigeria. The three, along with Professional Basketball player and Nigerian National Basketball Team Captain Ejike Ugboaja, found a unique niche for the football while leading basketball camps in Ejike’s homeland of Nigeria.  The NIAF’s efforts in the United States are centered on fund-raising, collecting football materials, and preparing the curriculum for ABU’s Football Programme of Study. To date, thousands of dollars of donations have been collected. There exists an active attempt to secure long-term support from US citizens interested in spreading football worldwide.
