The NFL schedule release somehow became an even bigger event this year.

From the league expanding into Australia for the first time, to returns to Brazil and Madrid, and finally bringing a game to Mexico City alongside the usual UK and Germany slate, the NFL is clearly pushing harder than ever to become a global sport.

But the international schedule wasn’t the only headline. The holiday lineup is absolutely stacked. Thanksgiving week now starts with football on Wednesday, followed by what looks like one of the strongest Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday slates the league has put together in years. Then Christmas goes completely over the top with the calendar perfectly lining up for Thursday Night Football before launching a Christmas tripleheader.
