The AFC South is on the line, begrudgingly so to nutmeg2palmetto, with the Colts heading into their land of terror, TIAA Bank Field to face the Jaguars. Cincinnati will also have eyes on the .500 battle for first in the AFC North between the Steelers and Ravens as both squads continue to look unimpressive. 

PLUS, the surprising top dog in the NFC resides in Chicago and the Bears head into Lambeau to prove they’re for real against the Packers. AND, Primetime gets juicy as the red-hot Texans head into Arrowhead to keep pushing the Chiefs further down the ladder and the Eagles seek to rite the ship in LA against the Chargers.

The NFC South continues to be a toss-up as the Carolina Panthers pull the upset of the LA Rams at home while the Bucs keep pace by narrowly surviving the Cardinals.

Postgame reaction to the pivotal Primetime reaction to the Bucs and Rams as first place hangs in the balance for both teams. Things went pretty well for the Colts in Arrowhead about 90% of the time but they couldn’t close the deal against the Kansas City Chiefs. Caleb Williams survives a Bears shootout with the Steelers minus Aaron Rodgers while the Patriots and Seahawks survive close road games. 

Philadelphia was not quite so fortunate in Dallas and the Giants gave Detroit a run for it despite Jahmyr Gibbs’ monster performance. The Jags pull it out in Overtime in the desert and HEY NOW, do the Browns have a Quarterback?? Shedeur Sanders notches his first win as a starter.

The Colts come off bye seeking to get their mojo back against the reeling Chiefs in Arrowhead, desperate for a win to stay in the playoff mix. The Bucs and their bleeding injury report head out to Tinseltown to take on the red-hot Rams.

The Eagles yet again survive another NFC alleged-contender by the skin of their teeth throwing more question marks into the NFC North race especially as the surprising 7-3 Chicago Bears find themselves now in FIRST PLACE! Tampa Bay could not withstand the Josh Allen onslaught in Buffalo but is that sustainable for the Bills? And of course, could the Broncos have put the Chiefs playoff hopes on all but ice at this point in the season?

Now that the Niners are seemingly out of the way, the Rams and Seahawks square off to put some distance in the rear view for top spot in the NFC West. But that’s not the only hot NFC ticket in town as the Eagles, fresh off a rough win in Lambeau, welcome the Lions to the City of Brotherly Love. The Chiefs look to stay in the picture facing a must-win in Denver and the AFC North pits teams against each other: the red-hot Ravens head to the Dawg Pound and off the news of Joe Burrow’s imminent return, the Bengals try to stay in the mix traveling to Pittsburgh. 

PLUS, the Chargers seek to put the nail in the Jags’ coffin, or at least dig their hole to the point they cannot climb back from and the Bucs head up to Buffalo as the Bills lick their wounds off that stinker in Miami. 

And Jameis Winston finally gets the nod for the Giants as they host the Packers desperate to remain out of irrelevancy.

Jonathan Taylor solidified his MVP case in Germany with a monster game against the Falcons and the Bucs are left to lick their Drake Maye-infused wounds. Matthew Stafford sets new career milestone to keep pace with the Seahawks in the West while the Bills and Panthers have quite the letdown performances. 

Jets had that monstrous firesale at the deadline but said, SAUCE WHO with multiple special teams scores and a spirited win over the Browns. Plus, Davis Mills shocks the world and goes Superman in a comeback win vs the Jags.

The trade deadline came and passed with fireworks! The biggest prize was courtesy of the Jets firesale which landed Sauce Gardner on nutmeg’s Colts! Talk about addressing an area of weakness in a big way. 

Buccs McGee’s Tampa squad is front and center in a week of great games as they square off against Drake Maye and the Patriots. Can the Bucs’ injured-riddled receiving corps keep up? The Rams and Niners duke it out for the top spot in the NFC West with Seattle lining up Kyler Murray-less Arizona to try and not be left out of the discussion. Primetime lives up to its name this week - Which Steelers team will we get in LA? The one that got shredded by Jordan Love and the Packers or the one that withstood Daniel Jones’ aerial assault? Speaking of those Green Bay, they take on the defending champs on Monday Night and probably without a ton of confidence after losing Tucker Kraft for the season. 

Plus, Kyler isn’t the only QB injury to keep an eye on this week. CJ Stroud will miss time with a concussion against a Jags team looking to keep up with Indy and with Jayden Daniels shelved for a significant period of time, is Washington doomed in the LIons’ den?
