First Quarter
Karla Williams opened the show by discussing the Tennis world and the upcoming U.S. Open. Serena Williams who coming back from injury, will play in the U.S. Open on Monday. The press has some negative things to say about her last tournament in the Open –where she had a disagreement with the Referee, hoping she holds her tongue this time. Why? She should speak here piece if things are not going wrong, that is here right to do so. Coco Gauff will have a wild card spot in the Open and may end up playing Naomi Osaka. Good luck to both as they move forward and win again!
Second Quarter and Third Quarter:
Coach Gray and Karla discussed the plight of kid retiring from Sports at the age of 11. Why is this occurring? Is it because parents are living through their children and being hard on them unnecessarily? Is it the coaches’ job to make sure the child has the right mindset to want to continue to play? Listen to hear more!
Lou joined the call and Coach Gray and Karla had a discussion on Performing enhancing drugs and their impact on players. Then the discussing turned to will there ever be any more quarterbacks in the NFL as good as Warren Moon and many others? Has the game changed to prevent great quarterbacks and players from ever being so great? You decide.
Fourth Quarter:
Coach Gray and Karla along with Lou continued with a discussion on the latest politics and its impact on society and sports. We discussed JayZ and his NFL venture and the media inquiry into Jermaine Dupree and their conversation which was to have said prevented Jermaine from getting the deal with the NFL –and Jayz capitalized on the deal instead. What will happened to all the half time shows in the future? Will it be the JayZ and Beyonce hour every year? You be the judge! -
We also discussed the United States international Men’s basketball defeat against Australia –falling from Number one and facing a crowd of over 52,000 people –the largest crowd ever to watch Basketball in Australia.
