Nic and Andrea have both been full time self-employed since 2002. Nic quit his job as a Police officer and Andrea left her role at Amazon when they had their daughter. They then built up a small part time eBay business selling second hand goods and threw themselves into that in a big way. The business rapidly expanded until their small rented house was filling up with stock which was not ideal with a small baby. So at that point, they opened a high street shop, a place to base the internet business and a retail frontage to buy direct from the public and sell over the counter in a traditional way too.

The shop was an instant success, and they rapidly expanded their range and after a few years moved to a much larger shop. After 8 years of high street retail, they had achieved their primary goal, to buy their own house, and had even managed to pay off the mortgage in full. However, the high street was changing rapidly, and they were exhausted, so took the decision to leave the high street and go back to online retail exclusively....

Since that point they have experimented with several avenues, they specialised in clothing, and Lego, but have always come back to being generalists and having fingers in many pies. These days they no longer have any storage or office space outside the home and operate a much smaller enterprise than they have in the past but enjoy the lower overheads, freedom and lower stress levels this gives them. Now Nic and Andrea are selling a wide range of used and new goods primarily on eBay and Amazon, but also use other platforms such as Depop, Etsy and Facebook.

About 6 years ago, they started a YouTube channel, to share what and how they do it. This has grown to a scale beyond what they ever imagined. Almost at 47,000 subscribers and past 8 million views, YouTube is now a part of their business and a huge part of their lives.
