  • To Hell
    the last song in October
and it is long as I tend to do them
I reused the poem Indian summer by Dorothy Parker again and made a new song called To Hell.
    Indian summer
In youth, it was a way I had
To do my best to please,
And change, with every passing lad
    To suit his theories.
But now I know the things I know,
    And do the things I do;
And if you do not like me so,
To hell, my love, with you!
I play, bass, guitars and sing. The beats is from an arpeggio in one of my synths that I tweaked to make it sound hellish.

  • Fallen Gods Of Pleasure [Uziel, Nic & Boson Spin]
Here's a collaboration from three continents, Europe, Australia and North America.
Boson Spin made a song called De Arcano Nefando, Nic sang and played guitar over it and then Uziel sprinkled her fairy dust over it with additional vocals, synths and drums.

Lyrics is a poem by Ameen Rihani from 1905:
    Unadorned
Regardless of the cries of priests and sages
    I strove to give my bleeding soul her wages;
And each embrace or memory of one
Is worth to me the treasures of the ages,
Is worth to me the treasures of the ages.
Each shadow of a kiss or fond embrace
    Down in the depth of solitude I trace;
And in the corners of my darkest den
The fallen gods of pleasure find a place.
The fallen gods of pleasure find a place.
And though knee-deep I find myself in hell,
And though the flames around my cheeks should swell,
I shall not loose my grip on Allah's throne,
I shall not fall alone, I know full well.
I shall not fall alone, I know full well.

  • The Kings Of Orion
Saturday evening in Strangness Sweden. I recorded this song tonight. It consists of me playing bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals. I managed to perform a whistle solo in the middle too.
    Happy listening!
The lyrics comes from a poem by Ameen Rihani and is called Ever to be in original. I call the song The Kíngs of Orion.
My far cry, though no one should echo,—
Though no one to listen should stand,
I shall dare with my burden the darkness
    And I shall not retreat from this land;
Though I’m hurled ’neath the feet of the millions,
Who struggle their places to keep,
The sea-nymphs still bathe with my fancy
And the Dryads still sweeten my sleep.
Though I’m crushed, cast away and forgotten,—
Though I’m buried in the dust of their cars,
I can see through their madness above me,—
    I can feel the quick pulse of the stars;
Though my head be the foot-stool of tyrants,
Though my back be a step to their throne,
I still dwell with the kings of Orion
And I walk with the sun-queen alone.
Though the fire of my youth should consume me,—
Though my body a brimstone should be,
I can draw on the clouds for their water,
    And behold! I’ve of water a sea;
And though roofless, and friendless, and hopeless
And loveless, and godless I stand,
The waves of my Life shall continue
To murmur and laugh on the Strand .

    Lyrics:
    Oh wow
    Oh wow
    Oh wow
    Oh woooow!
    You better smile
    Just for a while
Until I come back to you
    (Come back to me)
    You should smile
    Just for a while
Before I come back to you
    Back to you
    (Come back to me)
    Smile
    I'll pull the red string
    Fates around my wrist
    I must live with this
    I'll pull the red string
    Fates around my wrist
Is this what I love with?
    You should smile
Just for a while (just for awhile)
Before I come back to you (Come back to me)
Before I come back to you
    (Come back to me...)
    You should smile
    Just for a while
Before I come back to you
    You should smile
    Just for a while...
I can't do this without you
    Where ever I may be
    I can't seem to fit
Faith doesn't come naturally to me
I'm lost converging along these different directions
    Half submerged and half mountainous
Some iceberg floating over strange abyss
Perhaps I'm happy when I'm alone...
For now it's all aglow when I see you
    I feel better
If not just for a while
If not just for a while
    - instrumental-
    You should smile
    Just for a while
Before I come back to you
    You should smile
    Just for a while
Before I come back to you
    Come back to you
    Come back to you

    Thanks for listening!
    Lyrics:
    Here are flowers,
    Oh, My beloved!
    Here are flowers!
Let us lay our hearts today...
    Among the flowers
Let us not be led astray
    By the mirage far away
    Here is verdure
    And in verdure
    Love embowers
    (Here are flowers)
    And embowers
    (ahh...)
    Here are springs
    Oh, My beloved
    Here are springs!
Let us rest and build a nest
    Near the springs
Let us cease of our weary quest
For the mountains of the blessed
Here is water and in water
    Blessing sings!
    Blessing sings!
    -Instrumental Break-
    Ohh, wooooo
    Here are springs
    Oh My beloved!
    Here are springs
Let us rest and build a nest
Let us cease our weary quest...
For the mountains of the blessed
    Here is water
    And in water blessing sings
    Blessings sings
    For you and I
Some day we will touch the sky
    You and I
    Touch the sky
    You and I
    Will someday touch the sky
    You and I
    Touch the sky...
    (You and I...)

  • Is She Dead
I downloaded a song by Boson Spin and used it as a foundation to this song. The original is called Ustera and when I was about to lay down some vocals for it I used the poem The Dramatists by Dorothy Parker as lyrics. It came out like this:
    /nic
For my aunt Britt who died 28/07/22
All rights to the original belongs to Boson Spin 2022

  • What It's Like In Spain
a psychedelic trip down the musical memory lane filled with unicorns and shit.
Or just something I threw together in the haze of the Swedish summer night, pretending to be at Woodstock or...
My friend Dorothy Parker wrote the poem I recite as lyrics in 1926.
    It's called The Thin Edge
I play guitars, bass, keys and programmed the beats...
    Enjoy!
