Nice Planet Librarians

In this episode of Nice Planet Librarians, T.A. Leederman and Parrish Baker, writing as Urna Semper, discuss their latest collaborative zine with Tender and Tempting Tales, SAPPHICS OF SATURN, including their own stories and their favorites from the zine, its features, and what's in a zine generally. They get deep into the weeds on what it means when science fiction contemplates the future of fertility within various constraints, what it means to be Sapphic in the future, and then they finish off with a special announcement: TOMORROW. What is TOMORROW? Listen in and find out!

In this episode, we discuss C.J. Cherryh's Chanur Saga series, and especially the variety of non-humanoid alien species she creates and explores. How weird can alien species get? How expansive is the mind of the author, and how does the universe and the reader's mind expand to accept it? How does Tara, Lore Maven for Starship Valkyrie, and Parrish, steward of Iphigenia, manage and reveal the cultures and biology of our universes' alien peoples? And what's up with the methane breathers and matrix languages?
