JC returns to the show and we talk about the rest of her 2019 from releasing three books to starting a nonprofit support group for women. We chat about stepping more outside of our comfort zones and she shares her new goal of writing a screenplay for the I Am Rahab series and the new book she is working on. Marcus returns to the show and we talk about what he’s learned in the last year of his life. After living in New York for a while, he returned to the DMV to rebrand his hip hop orchestra, now known as The Shmoods. He tells me about his plans for the group to add an interactive experience to their music performances. We also chat about generational trauma and racism, and how we should go about combating those two topics in the future.
